I didn't really know what I'd written this about until after it was recorded. I'd been debating leaving the constant hustle of New York for awhile and didn't quite realize it until listening back to this song. I'd also become a bit of a hermit the last year, soleay focusing on music and not having enough money to do anything else so I guess it's a little about that too. I usually write in the perspective of my own consciousness talking to myself and in this song I'm telling myself to enjoy it before it's gone!
lyrics
The day is closing, the time has passed before my eyes opened.
I wait, just hoping, for life to whisper in my ear "the time has come for you my dear!".
Are you so distracted now, that you draw your curtains closed, before you even know. And while you sit around your house, they're laughing outside yeah, theyre passing the time.
Do what you do, your doing it for you. You'll never grow but you'll feel safe anyway.
You could take apart this world of theirs any day, no you ain't broken, eyes aren't open.
Are you so distracted now, that you draw your curtains closed, before you even know. And while you sit around your house, they're laughing outside yeah, theyre passing the time.

Silas Fermoy is the meeting of 2 creative minds: The Polished Pop hooks of Singer/Keyboardist Joshua Mash, and the
progressive ethereal sonic textures of guitarist Phillip Pope. Combining Phillip’s love of Experimental music, with Josh’s ear for driving pop melodies the two write new high energy material with a heavy emphasis on danceable grooves....more
So much emotion in every song!!! The guitar tones are incredible and held beautifully by the simplicity of the drums. I love this girls unique vocal style more than any other vocalist out there today Silas Fermoy
